 What do I need to be a foster?

Just a lot of love and a separate room (like a bathroom or a spare room) away from other pets and people! ARMV takes care of all medical costs and can also help supply food if needed. 

Most often we need foster homes for young kittens who were born outside and need to be socialized. These kittens need someone to work patiently with them to build their trust in humans through care and interaction. The kittens (usually a pair) will stay with you until they are old enough to be spayed or neutered at a monthly clinic event and are friendly enough to go to a forever home.

We also sometimes need foster homes that will take a nursing mama cat and her kittens together, or a friendly stray cat who just needs a place to stay until they are adopted. Whether you can handle one cat or a whole family, our foster families make our work possible. We have helped hundreds of cats and kittens find forever homes over the past 14 years, and we couldn’t have done it without our volunteers!
